Golf interviews are not just all shop talk. Sometimes, the golfer might just offer up a random fact that has little to do with the upcoming tournament. Currently in Florida for the Players Championship, Collin Morikawa seems to have started his presser with some personal opinions on snacks.
But while some additional information about the golfer is always welcome, this might just be the work of Jimmy Fallon.
Uh-oh. Looks like Fallon got ahold of the guys again. Collin Morikawa just started his press conference with, "You know, five Cheetos are better than two Doritos." That's gonna hurt his PIP.

Did Jimmy Fallon mess with Collin Morikawa’s pressor in Florida?
For over two years now, American tv show host Jimmy Fallon has had some fun with the golfers playing at the Players Championship. Fans of the show and golf are often expecting the segment called ‘Drop It In’. The TV Show host gives the players unusual, awkward, and funny phrases to use. Later, the phrases have to be incorporated into their answers organically.

Looking at Morikawa’s recent line, Fallon seems to have continued his famous segment.
Of course, one cannot be too sure until the clips are edited and aired on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Morikawa’s words were shared online, with fans excited about the random statement. Some actually thought Morikawa’s words were truthful. Some fans added that it was good marketing on their part. Surely, it is fun to watch interviews while spotting words/phrases added by Fallon.
Furthermore, players are apparently not allowed to reveal that Fallon is involved. When Rory McIlroy was asked about Fallon’s involvement directly, the 32-year-old lied. In fact, he further added that Fallon might not even be able to come up with a line like that.

Morikawa and Fallon’s Mario game
Morikawa has previously appeared on Fallon’s show. The two played Mario Golf: Super Rush, where Fallon won the first two rounds. Morikawa did not give up and made sure he won the third hole with a birdie. After all, he was the professional.

That being said, Morikawa will be playing the Players Championship after finishing T2 at the Genesis Invitational. With quite a few good performances going on for him this year, the Players is another chance for Morikawa to probably take home a win. Besides, fun one-liners for TV comedy are only an added bonus for fans and viewers.
