The competition is heating up at the Masters Tournament. With a weather-affected tournament heading for a Monday finish, the fight for the green jacket remains wide open. But the theme surrounding the final round’s play revolved around Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm, who occupied the top two spots on the leaderboard. But in what could be an all-important LIV vs PGA battle for the Masters, renowned sports broadcaster Jim Nantz came up with a hilarious joke that dropped everyone on the floors!
Jim Nantz’s sense of humor on display at the Masters
Nantz has been a constant fixture in golf’s inaugural major championship. The two-time Sports Emmy Award winner has anchored the coverage of the Masters Tournament since 1989.

But despite his growing age, the famous sports broadcaster fails to disappoint with his humor. Nantz was behind the mic during Sunday’s enthralling match-up, which pitted LIV golfer and Masters leader Brooks Koepka with World No. 3 and PGA Tour’s pride, Jon Rahm.
The result of the contest could send shockwaves across the golf community for months to come. But Nantz wasn’t to be usurped from the seriousness of the situation, instead making a sly dig at Koepka’s shot.
The incident occurred during the start of the final round, which saw Koepka and Rahm tee up together. The pair were separated by merely two strokes, with the former on top.
But the round didn’t start well for the four-time major champion, who sent one of his shots out of bounds. Koepka’s ball landed on the crosswalk, which prompted Nantz to make a hilarious pun to mock the golfer’s LIV Golf heritage.
OH MY GOD Jim Nantz just said of Brooks Koepka’s ball:
“There it is on the CW. …the crosswalk.”

For the unversed, the LIV Golf Series shows its coverage on the CW Network. Despite its huge funding, the league faced hardships in finding a television sponsor and even went through its first full season without one.
Expectedly, fans were quick to appreciate Nantiz’s comic timing through social media. Below is a selection of netizens’ reactions:
At least you can actually see THIS "CW"
