If you follow the Ladies Professional Golf Association, you must know about Karrie Webb. She has a Super Career Grand Slam, having won five major championships in women’s golf. With a long career till now, the Australian has been a professional for more than 3 decades. After turning pro in 1994, she has many achievements, making her one of the greatest golfers in history.
Her career started with a high as she was the Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year in 1995, while LPGA Rookie of the Year in the next year. With a great start to her career, she has been increasing her list of achievements and wins. Till now, the professional golfer has won 57 professional titles worldwide, including 41 LPGA titles.
Her achievements list is very long, maybe we might feel short of words, but she isn’t stopping there. There is another addition to her career with the invitation to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. Also known as the R&A, it governs the rest of world golf (excluding the U.S. and Mexico). It is also the sole organizer of the British Open with other 21 golf championships.

Receiving an invitation to the esteemed club is just another star added to the list for Webb. As per Golfweek, “in recognition of her successful playing career and the substantial contribution she has made in helping to develop the next generation of professional golfers.” Even for the invitation, Webb shared gratitude by saying, “It is a privilege to be made an Honorary Member of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and I am humbled to be joining such an esteemed group of golfers on the honorary membership roll.”

The R&A was founded in 1754 and now has only 2500 members worldwide. The only process to become a member is through invitation. Now, with the invitation shared with Karrie Webb, she has shared her achievement on Instagram, and no one has stepped back to praising her for unlocking another achievement.
