Like in every other sport, the men’s game in golf draws more attention than the women’s tournaments. However, the wheels of motion have been set, which has seen the ladies’ Tour gain unprecedented momentum to catch up with their counterparts.

Yet, despite the steady progress, not many view golf as an equal sport. The pay gap and purses between the men’s and women’s Tours still surpass millions, with golf considered down the hill when it comes to the gender pay gap. To highlight the paramount issue, an aspiring woman made a series based on her golf experiences, which found support from women worldwide, including LPGA star Jessica Korda.

What is the female-centric golf show all about?

While golf has taken considerable steps to provide an equal platform for both men and women, some are yet to find sustainable differences on and around the course. To showcase what’s wrong, a woman-centric show was played out in which the roles of men and women were completely switched.

The show traverses through the experience of a man at a golf club, where he is indirectly ridiculed at the expense of his gender. Titled ‘Better Off with Hally Leadbetter,’ the show is streaming on Golf Pass for viewing.

The show went instantly viral, gaining a lot of traction in the golf community. And Korda was among those who loved it!

Satirical show gains momentum after Jessica Korda’s appreciation

A glimpse of the show was posted on social media, which undoubtedly hooked a number of viewers on the go. Furthermore, there were tons of comments from plenty of blue tickers on Instagram. And among them was a word of appreciation from none other than Jessica Korda.

“AMAZING!!!!!! So GOOD!!!!!!” she replied, showing her appreciation for the show. One of the stalwarts in the women’s game, the 6-time LPGA Tour winner’s approval will no doubt help the show amass greater numbers.

There were other noteworthy reactions to the post, too. “This is incredible. Well done!” a user said. The. Sheer. Accuracy. Both delighted and triggered at the same time,” said another. “It’s funny because it’s true,” a netizen claimed.

But is the women’s side of golf really in need of a facelift amidst the tremendous changes in the last few years? While there remains a huge pay gap in terms of competition purses, the disparity is decreasing on a year-to-year basis.
