It’s news to none that Jason Day always managed to become the attraction at almost every tournament he attends. Unfortunately, most of the time, the attention on the golfer isn’t for his performance but his bold outfit from Malbon Golf. However, despite the hate he receives from the community, the golfer recently revealed something shutting down the haters in a way.
After he became an ambassador of the brand in January this year, the golfer has been sporting bizarre outfits. It even got during the Masters this year as Day was asked to remove his vest. During the PGA Championship, he even received comments like “dental hygienist” for his all-green outfit. And guess what? Something similar happened during the Open Championship as well.
During the third round of the last major NUCLR GOLF shared a video on X, featuring Jason Day wearing an all-white outfit. Just like every tournament fans started making fun of golfers with comments like “Sweat lodge attire.” Despite all that, the golfer is here with a surprising revelation.

Recently the PGA Tour shared a video on X. In the clip, Jason Day did an “in-depth unboxing” of another set of outfits from Malbon Golf. While doing so, the first outfit he unboxed, Day gave a nine-word remark saying “I wish I had this at the Open Championship,” possibly directing toward all the hate he received during the tournament.
Although, he didn’t specifically point out anything about the harsh comments he received from the golf community. Despite the hate, he clearly mentioned that he would prefer these outfits to the last major.

Jason Day became a “disgrace” during the Paris Olympics
One might think the different types of apparel are the only thing that lands Jason Day under the spotlight. Things were completely different when he was playing at the Le Golf National. At the Olympics, he represented Australia, and alongside him was Min Woo Lee.
The X account of Pro Golf Critic shared a post captioned “Has Min Woo Lee done anything of note in 2024 on the @PGATOUR? It’s a rhetorical question,” even though there was no mention of Day in the post, fans started bashing the golfer.

The hate primarily arose because of Day’s decision not to return to Australia for golf and his lack of contribution towards developing the sport in his homeland. Despite that, he was representing the country and fans weren’t delighted. They even started questioning his worth with comments like “Min Woo should be there, but J Day should not be representing Australia; it’s a disgrace.”
