Eldrick Woods was formally inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on March 9th at the PGA Tour headquarters. Woods was introduced into the Hall of Fame by his daughter Sam in a very emotional introductory speech. After his induction into the Hall of Fame, ‘The Golden Bear’ shared a beautiful congratulatory message on his Twitter for Woods.
Nicklaus wrote, “I have known Tiger Woods since he was about 13 years old when, during a clinic I was giving at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles, I first saw this slender teenager display some of the promise that manifested into 15 majors.”
“I learned of the sacrifices his parents made, the discrimination Tiger had to face, and the passion for the game and work ethic his father instilled in him.”
Last night’s World @GolfHallofFame ceremony was a night to celebrate the great game of golf but also a handful of individuals who have shape the game I love. The night gave us a chance to reflect on their accomplishments, and it also gave us a glimpse into their past. pic.twitter.com/Z5zrBq38Im
