Steve said, “You know, Tiger, amazingly, can be as nervous as anyone I’ve ever seen. And he can hit, I would say, of all the professional golfers that I’ve worked for in my career, I’ve never seen a guy hit more bad tee shots off the first hole this guy does because he gets so nervous.”

He added, “And why does he get nervous because he cares so much about his performance. And often he just want to get that first ball inside the golf course somewhere off the first tee just get it off the tee somewhere, find it, and hit it again. So it was no surprise when he could bogey the first hole.”

Williams’ words prove that even probably the best professionals can get nervous. Moreover, it demonstrates how Tiger focuses on playing a nice shot every time he hits the golf ball. It is just truly incredible to hear.
