The final rounds of golf tournaments are always unexpected and thrilling—not just the result but the complete round. For the spectators, it may seem like a smooth round with a smooth finish, but for the golfer who is competing on the greens, it does not feel like a relaxing round. And recently, Linn Grant shed light on that!

At the Dana Open in Ohio, it was Grant who emerged victorious for the first time on the LPGA Tour and won $1,750,000. Just moments after winning, she shared her experience of the final after she won her maiden Tour title at the Greater Toledo LPGA Classic.

Linn Grant shot 3 under during the final round of the recently concluded LPGA event. However, experiencing the nerve-wracking nervousness and pressure on Sunday was not fun for her. During her post-round press conference, when an interviewer praised her for her “cruising” finish and asked her about how it felt, Grant’s response was quite contrary to popular belief.

The LPGA star revealed that it is not as fun as it may have appeared to the outside world. “It doesn’t feel like a cruise. Like, it’s terrible,” she stated. Grant further added that it didn’t matter if the golfer was just teeing it off or playing the sixth hole; the pressure they went through was “awful.”

She shared that she was immensely tensed and stressed right from the moment she teed off that day until her last putt. The one-time LPGA winner further shed light on how the built-in pressure at golf tournaments is both fun and not fun at times.

During the interview, surprisingly, the pressure the golfer felt wasn’t the only thing Grant got candid about. The LPGA star also gave the public an insight into her own life when she discussed her favorite movies. And they certainly were far from what one would expect!
