It was not unseen by the fans when Tiger Woods had to take the help of a cart to move around Albany, the Bahamas. He was suffering from a foot injury. Woods could not be part of the Hero World Challenge because he had plantar fasciitis on his right foot. As a result, he could not walk, so he only focused on host duties and used a cart to move around. However, he was not the only one who used the cart for being unable to walk. Two-time Claret Jug winner John Daly also had a close relationship with golf carts.

In the press conference yesterday, ahead of the PNC event, Daly interacted with the media and answered questions. One of the questions included his thoughts on Woods using the cart to move around the golf course. Doesn’t that sound familiar from earlier this year? During the PGA Championship in May, both the PGA pros took a jab at each other regarding using carts.
For health reasons, Daly used a cart to move around during the PGA Championship. However, the former number-one golfer was unaware of it and commented, “As far as JD taking a cart, well, I walked with a broken leg, s0.” But Woods apologized after learning about Daly’s issue. However, Daly had another take on the use of a cart. According to him, the pro golfer should have used a cart. He said, “I guarantee you that if Tiger used a cart this week, he’d be on the leaderboard.”
However, they have come a long way since then, and the comments did not hamper their relationship. And now Daly commented again on using the cart during the press conference. Let’s find out what he said about the 15-time major championship winner.
What were Daly’s words for Tiger Woods?
The reporter asked if Daly had any empathy for Woods for using the cart. Because he also had experience with carts. And also asked the pro if the GOAT has achieved anything playing in the three tournaments with the injured leg. Replying to the question, Daly showcased a hint of empathy for Woods, as he was well aware of the feelings of using a cart.

He understood that not being able to walk is painful and was sad that the legendary golfer had to go through it. He said, “I can’t imagine how much pain he’s in, but I know mine is — I had it done three years ago, and it’s no fun when you can’t walk.” Daly added that not being able to practice properly because of the injury was something any golfer would ever wish for.

Also, he explained that he can’t do what 82 times the PGA tour champion has been doing right now. However, he prayed for Woods to return to his feet very soon. He said, “I just pray — I pray for Tiger. I hope his leg holds up and gets fixed because we need him on the Tour.”
