The 3M Open is an essential event before the FedEx Cup starts, and players who are just on the edge of missing the FedEx Cup playoffs try to give it their all to make their way up in the FedEx rankings! Maybe that was the case for the 28-year-old Hodges, who sits at 74th in the FedEx standings.
The golfer started the first day at Blaine with a score of 8 under 64 to take a one-shot lead as he headed to the second day. Hodges stunned everyone with his second-day performance as he made the cut and entered the weekend again with a lead. On Saturday, he shot five birdies and carded a score of 5 under par 66 to extend his 5-shot lead into the final round.
When asked about whether or not the golfer would feel pressured about entering the final round with a 3-day consecutive lead, he just had one simple thing to say: “It’s just golf.” He said that he would not be nervous to enter the fourth round, as at the end of the day, it is just golf. Expressing his gratitude, the 28-year-old said that he feels lucky to be on the course and compete.

Pagraid Harrington, while competing in the Senior Open Championship, made the statement that for professional players, golf is all about having the right attitude and believing in themselves. According to the 3X major champion, a golfer can have a bad day on the course, but he still has to be positive on the course and should not stress a bit too much about it; the sport is completely circumstantial.
Anyone can maybe hit a good shot, but they cannot compete with a professional player because they do not have the mental composure required to play the sport professionally.
