As he is the oldest on the team, younger team members try to have some harmless fun and laugh at the jokes about his technique and gameplay.
The old man in the room
During the press conference, the 38-year-old Kevin Kisner was asked about his feeling, being the oldest on the USA Team of the Presidents Cup.
In his words, “… it’s grandpa or pops all the time and how short I hit it.” He said that the team is always talking about how old he is. The only time they might have an advantage over him is because he’s always working hard and pushing himself.
Hence, it’s ‘grandpa’ all the time because of how short Kisner hits it. But everybody on the team has a big friendly laugh at that.

During the match, Kisner doesn’t like it when the guy he’s playing against is behind him and suddenly starts tapping in front. It’s a mentality thing that gets old for the golfer. For the fact, Kisner loves being back there and hitting unexpected shots. He has big hopes to play many incredible shots against his opponent.

Kevin Kisner is a Presidents Cup veteran with an impressive record in international competitions. He will make his second appearance at the Presidents Cup, though he’s yet to compete on a Ryder Cup team. After winning four PGA Tours, Kisner knows how to play against big-name oppositions and often comes out on top in match play.
Kevin Kisner may not have had any wins this year, but he’s had five top 10s. It includes the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin Country Club in 2019. Also, at the 2017 Presidents Cup, he went 2-0-2 and halved his singles match. He proved that even when he doesn’t come out on top, he’s still a competitive player.
