Ever since LIV Golf was launched, Phil Mickelson has been its biggest supporter when it came to promoting the league. In fact, he was also the first player to officially join the Saudi circuit, followed by Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and others. However, golf enthusiasts have been finding it very hard to support the new league.

Not to forget, the shorter schedules and huge purses were already triggering enough for the fans. And now, the entire stage setup with famous music producer FISHER performing live has united fans to speak up against everything new that LIV Golf is trying to bring to the course. After a recent video went viral on Twitter, fans started giving all kinds of reactions to it. People on social media were shocked to see how a LIV Golf tournament could look like an entire concert! When several fans decided to stand up and speak about it, Mickelson took charge. Resharing the video on his Twitter account, the golf legend wrote, “There will always be a demand for traditional golf. There is also a demand for a new, different, energetic, fun, louder, exciting golf experience. See what’s possible, maybe it’s for you too”

How did the fans react to the viral video?

When Mickelson shared the video, most of the reactions he received came out as negative and discouraging. Some said that the tournament “looks like a Chainsmokers concert, not golf.” While others called it “garbage” and said “The level of golf is … meh. Will stick with ‘traditional’ golf.”
