We all know that golfers are known to be very humble for their success and victories, and all the credit goes to their fans who keep them down to earth with their support. However, have you ever heard that a golfer ignored one of their fans and that too a popular one? Well, one such instance has recently surfaced in the landscape of YouTube shorts and fans are losing their collective minds over the fact that Bubba Watson ignored a former Motorcross star.
Yes, the LIV golfer completely ignored Adam Cianciarulo, thinking of him as any other fan. Cianciarulo was so upset by the encounter as he considered Watson to be his idol and meeting Bubba was surely a reality check for him. Cianciarulo was stoked to meet his idol but Bubba barely recognized him and didn’t give their encounter any thought. “I was like, ‘Hey Bubba, big fan of your work. Mind if I get a quick picture with you? You know, it’s awesome to see you here.’ He didn’t even… he had his phone in his hand, and he looked up at me, looked at me for like two seconds, and looked straight back down at his phone. Oh my God and it was brutal”, explained Cianciarulo.
It took him a month to shake off the disappointment but eventually, he understood why things went down the way they did. People have a lot on their plates, and sometimes they’re just not in the right headspace. “It was humbling. That’s tough. Look, I understand the other end of it too, because sometimes it could be a million things going on in somebody’s life at the time, and it is what it is”, he said.

Bubba Watson harsh talks with a fan
Bubba Watson’s final round at the Travelers Championship got off to an interesting start on Sunday. As he was trying to enhance his gameplay he found himself stuck behind a tree and that’s when a “helpful” fan decided to chime in. This fan was slurring out some questionable advice and said, “Hit a punch 4-iron!” Now, we don’t make the rules but it’s very unlikely for a two-time Masters champion to take golf tips from a spectator and that’s exactly what happened.

Watson wasn’t having it and he decided to clap back with, “That’s why you’re on that side of the ropes and I’m on this side.” Ouch! But Watson wasn’t done yet. After expertly escaping the trouble with a boomerang wedge from the pine straw, he sought out the fan to drive the point home. Despite the distraction, Watson went on to ace the shot after sticking his approach over the tree and landing a stress-free birdie. All’s well that ends well, right? Well, in the golfer’s case, it did because he won the game with a score of 16 under par. So, what do you think about Bubba Watson’s encounters with his fans? Let us know in the comment section below!
