As LIV Golf prepares to kick-start its 2024 season, a famous revelation by LIV Golf sensation Bryson DeChambeau has left the rest of the golf world shocked. The 30-year-old golf maestro has recently revealed an unexpected take on the LIV Golf paradigm. Along with a deep shock, DeChambeau’s ideas have also got the golf world pondering on many thought-provoking golf dilemmas in today’s times.

Ever since, the famous pro has not only added major accolades to his name but has also added millions of dollars to his bank account – all thanks to the power heavyweight PIF, which is the official backer of the Saudi-backed league.

In his years of being involved with LIV Golf, DeChambeau is surely now in a position to be a holistic critique of the golf league. He has recently shared his ideas as to what are some negatives that LIV Golf needs to overcome in order to achieve its full potential. Out of the three important negatives pointed out by DeChambeau, one truly stands out. More precisely, in DeChambeau’s words, “It sucks.”

In a conversation with Rick Shiels on the Rick Shiels Golf Show Podcast, Bryson DeChambeau said, “Like personal negatives, not being able to play my favorite events that I’d love to again, I understand the decision I made. I’m just saying it sucks. “

The 1x major winner is not alone in his remorse at not being able to play at his favorite event of the year, the Ryder Cup. His absence was felt by many of his fans as well. It was not just the Ryder Cup that DeChambeau missed, but also the Arnold Palmer Invitational. However, DeChambeau made sure to take accountability for the reason why he could not participate and accounted for the fact that it was his choice to move to LIV Golf. Although he also pointed out how much it sucks to not be able to play for his fans at his favorite events. But what were the other two negatives, according to DeChambeau?

When the famous professional golfer put on the hat of a friendly and introspective critic, his assessment did not stop on the personal negatives that come with joining LIV Golf. He also talked about two other major problems that the budding league is currently undergoing. One of these is the famous question of LIV Golf’s quest to make its marketing more consumer-centric and remove the darkness about its initiatives from the fans’ eyes.

The other one is the number of games that they were playing leading into the Masters last season. However, he cleared out how LIV Golf is now changing this by means of its smartly planned schedule for the next season. Talking about the other two negatives that he thinks LIV Golf should work on, DeChambeau said, “One of the things that we got to figure out is a little bit more than the marketing side of it, get the PR into a place where the fans understand what’s going on. Another negative would be that we didn’t play as much as we should…but we’re fixing that with the schedule..” Only time will tell if LIV Golf will be able to fix these problems or not.
