Seven years ago, Phil Mickelson expressed the effects of Donald Trump’s depreciated comments about immigrants. It put many golfers in a “tough spot.” Because, at the same time, they were appreciative of his actions for the sport. The LIV defector spent three decades on the PGA tour before joining LIV this year. Some appreciated his decision; some did not. But we cannot deny that Mickelson has always wanted good things for the sport.

He believes that the new concept of golf introduced by the Saudi-backed circuit will help strengthen the game. Similarly, in 2015, the former PGA member was disappointed by the remarks given by the former POTUS Trump. However, he could not deny that he did many things to develop the sport. The former POTUS sent everyone in shock when he made comments on immigrants during his presidential announcement speech on June 16, 2015. He said that Mexico was sending people with problems to the USA, and they were bringing drugs and crimes with them. Some people he assumed might be good, but most were corrupted, according to him. He said“They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs.”

Later, during his interview with Fox News’s Media Buzz, on July 5, 2015, he sent another shock wave toward the residents. Trump refused to apologize for his comments because, according to him, he was stating facts, and he would never apologize for speaking the truth. Trump added that potential crimes were coming across the country, and everyone was aware of it already. Calling him racist was wrong because he had a racist bone in his body, but he was not a racist.
