Bryson DeChambeau presses a taunt at the PGA Tour players

Golf hulk, Bryson DeChambeau, was interviewed recently on Fox News with Tucker Carlson. During the conversation, Carlson brought up the current common opinions about playing golf for the money involved or playing for free. Bryson immediately took his stance defending the LIV Tour, saying“In that case, it just becomes a hobby.”

He further added, “There’s a great economic opportunity for golfers to make a lot of money, and that’s why we grew up playing golf… Any time, anyone invests over a billion dollars into, let’s say, the game of golf… how is it not going to provide more opportunities?”

DeChambeau is now a loyal member of the LIV Golf fraternity, as seen by his statements. It was not just about the benefits of playing on the LIV Tour, but his comments were also pointed toward the ones still playing on the PGA Tour, whom he referred to as playing golf as “A hobby.”

Why did DeChambeau join LIV Golf?

DeChambeau has been one of the most honest people by stating obvious reasons to join LIV Golf. The player called it a “business decision” and also mentioned that he still wanted to play PGA Tour events as well. He said, “There was a lot of financials to it and a lot of time. I get to have a life outside of golf. It’s a business decision for my family’s future.”

Reports say that the golfer received an offer of a guaranteed $100 million to join the Saudi-funded tour. Like other LIV players, DeChambeau is not worried about his legacy no matter what. He said, “I think we’ll have a new legacy” after he announced his decision to join LIV.
