The American professional golfer Phil Mickelson is one of the best golfers in the world, with 50+ victories worldwide. However, more than golf, he is famous for being a loving husband and a caring father. Therefore, it was not a surprise when he got emotional when his children faced criticism.
“I’m used to taking hits,” the 6-time major champion said. “But it hurts when you have your kids being questioned over doing nothing but working hard and studying hard.” He further added, “but we’re going to be okay.”
In 2019, federal prosecutors charged 50 people for paying millions as a bribe to get their children into schools and colleges. William ‘Rick’ Singer, the Edge College and Career Network owner, had aided the parents in the scam, and he was at the forefront of those charged.

According to him, his three children, Amanda Brynn, Sophia Isabel, and Evan Samuel Mickelson, have used Singer’s program. However, all they did was make the college visits that the Edge College and Career Network had suggested.
Mickelson added that his children had good grades to get into the college of their liking on their own. Yet, he chose to hire Singer since the admission process was a little confusing for him to handle.
