The ISCO Championship is the PGA Tour’s alternate event for the Scottish Open Championship. Both events will be played during the same weekend (July 11–July 14). The DP World Tour in Kentucky is co-sponsoring the event for the third time.

Michael Thorbjornsen, who finished at T2 in the John Deere Classic last weekend in his professional debut, will now compete in Kentucky for a win this time. Other notable players on the PGA Tour, such as Joel Dahmen, Kevin Kisner, and CT Pan, will also be competing on the 156-player field. Amateur Luke Clanton will also be there having received a sponsor exemption!

If you are excited to witness the action at the ISCO Championship 2024 but could not grab a ticket for the event, you can still enjoy the event in the comfort of your house. All you need to do is tune into the Golf Channel and voila!

Who are the Top players to look out for?

Luke Clanton and pro Michael Thorbjornsen are undoubtedly the most sought-after players at the ISCO Championship this coming weekend. Last week, the amateur stole the spotlight by finishing inside the top 10 for the second consecutive time (T-10 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, T-2 at the John Deere Classic) since Billy Joe Patton in 1957.

Thorbjornsen, too, shared co-runner-up status with Clanton at the John Deere Classic. Considering it was his debut, and he outplayed some big names like Jordan Spieth and Jason Day, it was certainly no simple feat. He is now undoubtedly hungrier than ever for his first win.

Apart from these two, pros like Hayden Springer, Carson Young, and Mac Meissner are also some names to look out for. Do you think one of these players will grab the win this week? Or will it be someone else altogether? Let us know in the comments below.
