When it comes to a major champion, the golf world follows them from head to toe! That includes what the golfer chooses as their apparel and which shoes prove to work the best for them on the greens. Xander Schauffele, being the winner of this season’s PGA Championship, has thus attracted much notice in his shoes too. But there is some confusion. Is it Adidas, or is it Descente?
To simply put it, Xander Schauffele has been reported to be wearing Adidas since 2018. Yes, six years straight! No matter the change of location or the golf course’s structure, the three stripes were always visible on Schauffele’s feet.
But fans started having some confusion when Xander Schauffele signed a multi-year contract with Descente. Descente is a Japanese apparel brand that was established in 1935. But even after his contract, Schauffele is still seen wearing the German apparel brand Adidas. It is because, according to their official website, Schauffele is still sponsored by the brand to wear their footwear.

Xander Schauffele’s 2024 look has been different because of his change in apparel. As per his contract with the Japanese brand, the golfer is seen wearing the Descente logo on every piece of clothing he wears on the greens. This, of course, rules out the footwear.
Xander Schauffele revealed how grateful he is to join the Descente brand. He said, “I am very honored to join the Descente team. The Descente brand has a rich history of developing performance and training apparel for a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, including golf. I am very grateful for the opportunities to work closely with such a storied brand and look forward to contributing to the success of Team Descente on and off the golf course.”
