Is Xander Schauffele playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament? The 31-year-old came off an incredible 2024 getting the first couple of major wins in his career. That rose Schauffele to the 2nd spot on the OWGR rankings, a spot he has held for quite a few months now. He kicked off the year in Hawaii, playing The Sentry 2025. However, the world no. 2 didn’t look his best throughout the four rounds. He finished at T30 at the end of the signature event.
A few days later, Schauffele made his debut in TGL. He represented New York Golf Club against The Bay GC in the inaugural match of the league. The losing effort in TGL was the last time fans saw Xander Schauffele take the course in a contest. A few days later, the nine-time PGA Tour winner announced his exit from other events and shared the news about his rib injury. Schauffele also stated that he is “Uncertain about @attproam”. Has that changed yet?
The PGA Tour released the entry list for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament a few days ago on their official website. The list featured some big names including Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Collin Morikawa. Like Schauffele, the three individuals mentioned had also been absent from the PGA Tour events recently. However, they are returning to competition at the Pebble Beach event on January 30, 2025.

The list confirmed Schauffele’s uncertainty regarding the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Tournament. The man from La Jolla will not be a part of the field in Pebble Beach this weekend. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the severity of his rib injury. In fact, Schaffele also confirmed that he had gone under the knife to repair the damage in his ribs. One thing that is certain though, he might require a considerable time to recover from the surgery before he gets back to action.

So when can fans expect to see him back in action again? Let’s check his possible schedule after recovery.
Xander Schauffele’s possible return from injury
Rehabilitation after surgery is usually a tedious and time-consuming process. Even athletes like Xander Schauffele require at least a couple of months before they can come back to intense sports action. The nine-time PGA Tour winner might not make it for the next few signature events. Realistically speaking, the 2025 Players Championship seems to be the perfect time for his return. The event is scheduled from March 13-16, 2025.

However, fans shouldn’t be surprised if Schauffele takes a little more time to recover and returns for the Masters Tournament in April instead. The first major of 2025 will be played from April 10-13. The 31-year-old will definitely be eager to tick the green jacket off of his checklist. Speaking of his TGL commitments, Schauffele may tee off at the SoFi Center a couple of times much sooner than his official PGA Tour return. This is mostly due to the controlled conditions of the indoor golf arena.
