The last time Tiger Woods swung a club on the green was back in July at the Open Championship, where he sadly missed the cut. Since then, fans have waited eagerly, hoping to see the iconic player tee up once more. But when will that happen? While his return to competition remains a dream for fans, Woods has never left the spotlight in the world of golf.

Now, as the season winds down, anticipation builds for the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship, set to take place at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal Golf Course in Diamante. So, will fans finally get to see their beloved player this time? Well, before you get your hopes up, let’s come back to reality—that’s not happening. Woods won’t be participating in this year’s WWT Championship.

Though the fifteen-time Major Champion remains on the sidelines for the sixth event of the FedEx Cup Fall, fans still have a lot to look forward to. The $8.2 million event will feature 144 players including some notable names like Taylor Moore, Cameron Young, Erik van Rooyen, Max Greyserman, and more.

Earlier this year, during the U.S. Open, Tiger Woods mentioned that he would likely play only until the final Major of the year. Fast-forward to the present, and there’s cautious optimism about his return at the Hero World Challenge. However, it’s wise to approach this with a bit of skepticism, as nothing is confirmed. And for December’s PNC Championship, where fans were excited to see him paired with his son, Charlie Woods? Well, let’s just say it’s still a bit of a toss-up. But if history tells us anything, surprises are always possible in Woods’ world.

Back in 2017, Woods made a comeback at the Bahamas event after a nine-month break following his fourth back surgery. He also returned to the same tournament in 2016 after two consecutive back surgeries, and in 2014 under similar circumstances. The 2011 edition marked his first victory after two challenging years both personally and professionally. So it’s fair to say that comebacks are practically his specialty!

So, when do you think fans’ eager eyes will finally get a glimpse of Woods on the course again? Let us know in the comments!
