Despite the backlash and the wrath faced by the 47-year-old in the months following the controversial statement he made regarding Rory McIlroy, Block remembers the day as a happy one. He also talked about how it felt so dreamy to be playing with McIlroy only a few yards away from him.

Michael Block said, “There was literally one time walking down the fairway and Rory is 20 yards ahead of me. I’d hit a good shot and I pinched John, my caddie, and I go, ‘Dude, is this a dream?”
