No cut at the FedEx St. Jude Championship—Does this make the tournament less competitive?

The never-ending entertainment in the golf world is now on the shoulders of the St. Jude’s Championship. The event is set to take place from August 15 to 18 at the TPC Southwind in Memphis, and the fans couldn’t be more excited. And why wouldn’t they be? The tournament has always offered a great time to the fans and the golfers. And this year’s event is bringing back the same energy!

The top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings are gearing up for a thrilling playoff season! Golf’s biggest stars have already secured their spots: Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Rory McIlroy. After a close call at Le Golf National, McIlroy is ready to show the golf world his exceptional skills this time.

The first playoff event of the FedEx Cup features a classic 72-hole stroke play tournament, where the golfer with the lowest score at the end of four days takes home the trophy of the tournament. But there comes the amazing part: each golfer gets to play all four days, no matter what! All 70 players will get to compete in every round, thanks to the unique no-cut rule used at the FedEx St. Jude Championship for ages.
