After four events on the 2025 LIV Golf schedule, we have four different winners. But surprisingly, not all winners so far are the expected ones. You see, the winner list doesn’t include Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, or Jon Rahm. Now, with the fifth event of the calendar year, it will be interesting to see who wins in Miami.
The event is scheduled at the Trump National Doral, USA. It is set to tee off on April 4th. With the top 54 players, all will be aiming for their share of the whopping $25 million purse, which includes a $20 million individual tournament and a $5 million team tournament. The 54-man roster requires contributions from every player to lead the team to victory. However, for the individual ranking, staying below the top 24 spots will result in no points addition.
It will be a no-cut event, just like any regular LIV Golf event. The winner, apart from the $4M, will earn 40 points. While the runner-up will get a 30-point boost. The sliding scale of points, which offers 24 points to the third-placed golfer, will go down to the 24th position, offering one point. What points are we talking about? It’s all about the exemption that the USGA had announced.

The USGA will offer one spot to the highest-ranked player in the top three of the LIV Golf Individual Standings as of May 19 – provided that player is not already exempt – for the US Open on June 12-15 at Oakmont Country Club. In 2026, the allocation will be extended to two spots.
Currently, Joaquin Niemann is leading with 84.66 points, all thanks to his two victories: Adelaide and Singapore. He sure came closer to his goal of competing at the highest level, “It’s one of my goals to qualify for the majors.” Now, with the fifth event, i.e., LIV Golf Miami, all eyes will be on the players to make their stances stronger for the majors.

Seven players are already exempted, and one new name has the opportunity to get into the player’s roster. For now, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton, and Richard Bland are in a safe spot.
As per the current standings, even Niemann is leading as shared above. Apart from him, Sebastian Munoz is placed fourth on the standings with 52.70 points. The Colombian, despite being winless, has managed to stay close to contention. All thanks to his runner-up at Riyadh and two top-10 finishes in Hong Kong and Singapore.
