Sergio Garcia has been on a great run recently. He kicked off the LIV Golf 2025 season with a T6 finish in Riyadh. A few weeks later, the Spaniard captured the LIV Golf Hong Kong 2025 title with a dominating performance at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Sheung Shui. Garcia’s great run has helped him rise to the third spot on the individual leaderboard this season. He, along with Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann, is on the path to replicating what the individual leaderboard looked like in 2024.
The Spanish swinger has also been eager to prove to Luke Donald that he is worth considering for Team Europe. He wants to get a Captain’s Pick, and his 2025 Ryder Cup aspirations have made him push that extra mile in every tournament he plays in. But will he be able to carry forward his great form to Augusta National in the coming week?
Prior to his switch to LIV Golf, Sergio Garcia held an incredible record on the PGA Tour. Making his debut way back in 1999, the veteran golfer won 11 PGA Tour titles over the years. He captured THE PLAYERS Championship, the AT&T Byron Nelson, and the 2017 Masters Tournament during his time there. Yes, Garcia is a former Green Jacket winner.

For those who aren’t aware, a Masters Tournament win gives the player a lifetime exemption from the tournament. The same applies to Sergio Garcia as well, as he can participate in the Augusta National tournament for as long as he wants. And LIV Golf has confirmed that he is one of the twelve players from the league who will be participating in the 2025 Masters Tournament as well.

Sergio Garcia’s recent Augusta National record
With 2025 Ryder Cup hopes still hanging in the balance, Sergio Garcia will be eager to play well at the Masters Tournament. But can he go all the way through in the tournament? The Spanish giant has played at the Augusta National 25 times in his career. He has finished in the top 10 four times. Apart from his win in 2017, Garcia has also finished in the top quarter of the leaderboard in 2002, 2004, and 2013.

Unfortunately, since winning the Masters Tournament, the 11x PGA Tour winner hasn’t been as successful at Augusta National. From 2018 to 2024, Garcia has only made the cut once. That too was three years back in 2023. He has since missed every cut in the first major of the year, scoring over par in all of them. His worst run was definitely in 2018, where he finished 15-over par 159 after the first 36 holes.
While his LIV Golf performance might have been top-notch recently, Sergio Garcia might now be as effective in the 2025 Masters Tournament. Do you think he can still surprise everyone and win the major on April 13, 2025? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
