Rewarding the small audience who took an interest in his game despite Rahm being there, Sebastian has cleared the cut and now proceeds to the third round tomorrow. Born in Borriol, Castellon in 1980, to Spanish parents Victor Garcia and Consuelo Fernandez, Sergio García is one of the most talented golfers in America. He has two siblings – a younger brother named Victor Garcia Jr. and a sister named Mar Garcia-Fernandez. However, despite sharing the same love and passion for golf, Sergio and Sebastian Garcia are not related.
Sebastian, who also goes by the short nickname Sebas, is a Spanish golfer and plays on the DP World Tour. Born in March 1989, Sebastian Garcia Rodríguez has no siblings. But after his parents introduced him to golf at a young age, he has loved it ever since. He turned pro in 2012 and is a growing name on the European Tour.
For his equipment, Sebas has a sponsor in the brand PING. His other sponsors are Teatro Barceló, Titleist UK & Ireland, and 226ERS. He started making a name for himself in 2019 with his two wins on the Alps Tour, and graduated from the Challenge Tour by the end of the year. That also earned him the card to play on the European Tour the next year.

Sebastian has been playing on the DP World Tour ever since, faring well for himself. In 2020, he finished 4th in the Austria Open, and T6 in the Portugal Masters. In 2022, he made three Top-10 finishes in the Magical Kenya Open, Tenerife Open and Mallorca Golf Open.

Can Sebastian Garcia score his big win this weekend?
So far Sebastian Garcia hasn’t been able to get a win on the DP World Tour. All his three victories have come from the Alps Tour. While playing there, he won the Alps de Las Castillas in 2017, the Abruzzo Open Dailies Total 1, and Memorial Giorgio Bordoni in 2019.

Tomorrow, at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, he will be in the group behind fellow countrymen Jon Rahm. Fans are hopeful that this week, Sebas Garcia will finally be able to acquire the much-anticipated win he has been chasing since 2020.
