According to Golf Week, “If Scott were on the PGA Tour’s official money list for 2024, he would be in 46th. This season, 232 players have won prize money from events, meaning Scott has earned more money caddying for Scheffler than 80.1 percent of players who have teed it up this year.”

Moreover, Scott shocked the world when his 2024 earnings surpassed Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, and Adam Scott after Scheffler’s Traveler’s Championship win. In 2024, Jordan Spieth will have won $2.5 million, Adam Scott will have won $1.67 million, Justin Rose will have won $1.4 million, and Rickie Fowler will have bagged only $1.09 million. In fact, Ted Scott has not been given much respect outside of a paycheck.

Scottie Scheffler’s opinion about his caddie

According to the PGA Tour’s last-month issue, Ted Scott has been Scheffler’s bagman for all 10 PGA Tour victories. The number has increased to 12 after he won both the Memorial Tournament and the Travelers Championship. The 2024 golf sensation has explained how he perceives his caddie, Ted Scott. Once he said, “I trust him to rake a bunker more than my buddies.” In another instance, he claimed, “I already thought the world of him as a person.”

However, the amount of respect he gives his caddie can be seen by giving him equal rights. Scheffler once declared that family comes first for both parties. He said, “That’s something we talked about from the beginning of our relationship—family always comes first.” He further added, “It’s the same thing for me as it is for my caddie. It was a pretty easy decision. He told me at the beginning of this year that that was the date.”

Even after his Augusta win, he asked Ted Scott to walk with him as the golfer went for his winner’s walk. Not sure if he is the richest caddie ever, but he sure is this year, and by the looks of it, nobody will come closer. When will you predict that Ted Scott will reach the highest-paid caddie’s spot of all time? Let us know in the comments below.
