Jake Knapp is definitely living his dream, as he wanted to. He managed to tie for the third position in the Famers Insurance Open, bagging a score of 11-under-288. The highlight of the PGA Tour season 2024 for him was winning the Mexico Open at Vidanta, which marked his first victory on the PGA Tour.

This grabbed him the golden ticket to the most decorated men’s major in the history of golf, which is the Masters! After participating in the US Open in 2015 as an amateur, where he missed the cut, this will be his second major championship. As per the qualification criteria, all the PGA Tour winners after the 2023 Masters and before the 2024 Masters are eligible to play in this year’s Augusta showdown.

The strongest contender to look out for who will be making his debut at the Masters in 2024 is the Swedish golfer Ludvig Aberg. The superstar has already won the European Masters on the DP World Tour in 2023 and also won his PGA Tour debut event, the RSM Classic. After him is the reigning US Open Champion, Wyndham Clark, who is ranked No. 4 on the OWGR list.

After the PLAYERS, Clark met with a back injury that gradually dropped his otherwise amazing season that he was having this year, but it looks like he is all set to astonish the fans at the tournament. The third rookie is Eric Cole, who is 35 years old. Well, I guess it is better late than never! He was dubbed Rookie of the Year, becoming the second oldest golfer to be adorned so! Courtesy of his six top-25 finishes in the 2024 season, Cole might end up winning a major championship prior to winning his maiden PGA Tour title.
