Nelly Korda withdrew from the JM Eagle LA Championship right after her Chevron victory. It was shocking at first, however, Korda explained in her Instagram statements that, there is an entire 2024 season remaining. “I feel I need to listen to my body and get some rest, so I can be ready for the remainder of the season,” said the 12-time LPGA Tour winner.
However, fret not, Korda will be back at the Cognizant Founders Cup in Upper Montclair Country Club. Korda enters the field as the highest-ranked player and, with her current form, would want to perform better than she did in 2023. That year, Korda was winless and at the Cognizant Founders Cup missed the 36-hole cut.
The Bradenton native has already won five times and made history and if she does come out as the winner at the Upper Montclair Country Club, she will create a greater history of being the only LPGA player to ever win in sixth start on the Tour.
