The LOTTE Championship, an LPGA tournament, tees off later today at the breathtaking Hoakalei Country Club, with a whopping $2 million up for grabs from November 6-9, 2024. The world’s top female golfers, including the incredibly talented Youmin Hwang, Soyoung Lee, Ga Young Lee, and Erika Hara, are ready to put everything on the line.

But the question in everyone’s mouth is if the world’s no. 1 female golfer Nelly Korda, going to be making an appearance at the tournament. Well, the answer to that would be a big no! The golfer was last seen playing professionally at the Kroger Queen City Championship Presented by P&G and after that crickets. But hey, it’s not that Korda is on a break or something because she will still be playing at the Annika which will be commencing on Nov. 14 in Florida.

Well, Korda has secured the 2024 Rolex Player of the Year award, solidifying her position as the world’s top female golfer. This prestigious honor comes with three events still remaining in the season, underscoring Korda’s dominance.

She follows in the footsteps of fellow American Lilia Vu, marking the first back-to-back American wins since 1993-94. Korda’s remarkable season includes six victories, highlighted by her second major title at The Chevron Championship, and nine top-10 finishes.

Nelly Korda’s remarkable year just got even more exciting! Sports Illustrated announced on November 2 that the world’s No. 1 will be featured in its 2025 Swimsuit Issue. Korda, who has already made headlines with six wins, including five consecutive victories, and her first LPGA Rolex Player of the Year Award, is thrilled to join the iconic issue. Her off-course achievements continue to grow, including attending The Met Gala and starring in a T-Mobile commercial.
