Matt McCarty is living his dream and we mean literally! We all got to see the amazing run McCarty had at the Korn Ferry Tour title at the Price Cutter Charity Championship but not many know that the golfer came forward with not one but two trophies. Well, while giving an interview the golfer revealed that it couldn’t have been possible without his girlfriend! Yes, you read that right McCarty is dating! While his girlfriend’s name is not made public yet, the golfer talks highly of her which truly proves that she plays a secret but significant role in his success. After securing his first Korn Ferry Tour title, McCarty called up two people utterly close to his heart, his dad, and his girlfriend.

“I called and talked to my girlfriend walking off the green, she’s been awesome, so supportive, and just amazing. Then called my dad and could hear him tearing up. He was with us last week, so he rode the tough heartbreak with us. Then my mom was the exact same way,” said the golfer per PGA Tour.  Now, as the golfer has taken a big leap to the PGA TOUR, he knows he wouldn’t be here without her. His girlfriend was seen at the Sanderson Farm Championship as well.

“Yeah, my dad, he’s flying in tonight, and then my girlfriend has got to work this week, but she’ll be in Friday night. But yeah, it’ll be exciting, and it’ll be fun to kind of have everybody together”, said the golfer in a press conference. McCarty’s performance at the Sanderson Farms Championship was not very good as he finished on the T63. And the score of 8 under par which didn’t live up to his nickname ‘King of Grocery Store Championships’.

While we all know that McCarty is a fabulous player only a few know that the golfer’s remarkable 2024 season included an amazing distinction. He dominated some of the most important grocery store-sponsored events. He won the Price Cutter Charity Championship and Pinnacle Bank Championship which helped earn him a PGA Tour promotion. This impressive feat caught the attention of his caddie Devrath Das.

Das jokingly referred to McCarty as the “King of Grocery Store Championships” after the 26-year-old golfer made back-to-back wins on the tour.
