His long-time caddie, Adam Hayes, is the person who is carrying his bag in the season-opening event of LIV Golf. It is shocking because Hayes was also his caddie on the PGA Tour. Even after leaving the Tour, Rahm has managed to retain his support from the sidelines in the form of his bagman. According to Hayes, “(LIV Golf) gives you time to be healthy and fresh.”
The duo’s unwavering support for one another has remained the same through the years. They first started collaborating on the greens back in 2016. Hayes has been caddying since 2000. The start of Hayes’s journey was difficult as he had to struggle a lot to make ends meet. he has caddied for Jason Dufner, Russell Henley, and Ben Crane in the past.
Shedding some light on how they started their journey together, “Before I went to work for him, I wanted to make sure we got along and that our personalities didn’t clash or anything, so we spent a couple nice days together and played some golf and hung out.”
Not only do their personalities align, but Adam Hayes has also been the Spaniard’s first and only caddie since he turned pro. So what is their relationship like?
