The golf world is shocked by the news of the alleged breakup of the longtime sponsorship between Jason Day and Nike. On Monday, the Aussie arrived at Kapalua wearing Malbon, a luxury golf apparel brand. A day later, in the morning, the brand officially announced Day as its first-ever PGA Tour ambassador.
If someone asked a few years ago about this company, nobody could answer because it was an underground brand that fewer people knew about. However, Jason Day is not the only pro golfer who has joined Malbon Golf, though. The brand has also signed some of the rising stars of the LPGA Tour.
Despite not being the maiden golfer on the brand’s roster, Day is still the most notable partnership that Malbon Golf has formed. The former world no. 1 ditched his seven-year-old sponsor and shook hands with the seven-year-old brand. However, the details of their contract have not been revealed yet.

While talking about what attracts her, she said, “Malbon’s effortlessly cool, casual style is what really attracted me to the brand. The way some pieces are oversized and comfy but still very fashionable. I also like how the styles vary from preppy to athletic and laid-back. I won’t have to stick to one style and will be able to express myself more with Malbon.”
