It has been two years since his last climb up the podium. And despite a bogey on the penultimate hole in round 4, J.T. Poston was able to overcome the threat of Doug Ghim to capture the championship. He lifted the Shriners Children’s Open Championship and with it gained maximum points in the FedEx Cup rankings.
The world no. 40 is still eligible to bag some points in the Fall season to improve his position on the leaderboard. With another event lined up in the next few days, there is no doubt that everyone must be looking to participate in the tournament to grab the last few vital points before the beginning of the 2025 season.
So who all are participating in the 2024 Zozo Championship? And will Poston be a part of the entry list? Let’s find out!

Is J.T. Poston a part of the 2024 Zozo Championship line-up?
This time last year, the Zozo Championship saw some exciting contests. The likes of Eric Cole, Beau Hossler, Robby Shelton, and Ryo Ishikawa gave their best to reach the top spot. But they were no match for Collin Morikawa. The world no. 4 had a formidable lead at the top, having played 6 fewer strokes than his competition at T2.
Only one of the top 5 from 2023 is not a part of the entry list this time around, Robby Shelton. Who didn’t make the cut in the final round of the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open and is not going to be participating in the next championship.
The 2nd best-ranked player in the world, Xander Schauffele, will also be participating in this year’s event at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club. World no. 7 and tournament favorite, Hideki Matsuyama is also a part of the elite list to join us for the championship this year.
