Now, Hoffman’s life is full of interviews and highlights, but Stacy? She’s more low-key and stays out of the spotlight. She’s a private person, and not all that active on social media—her Instagram account is even set to private. But even though they might have different preferences when it comes to social media, their shared causes and strong bonds show just how much they align in life.
What does Stacy Vasil, Charley Hoffman’s wife do?
Stacy’s career has been pretty impressive. After completing her graduation, she worked in public relations for big companies like Microsoft, Mastercard, and Sara Lee. But that’s not it. Apart from her professional endeavors, she even supported her husband for a great cause. In 2009, Stacy helped Hoffman create the Charley Hoffman Foundation, which focuses on raising funds for charities that benefit children in their hometowns of San Diego and Las Vegas.
What really makes the foundation stand out is Stacy’s energy and passion for giving back. Her bubbly personality has been key to its success, and over the years, the foundation has raised an impressive $4.5 million. Stacy often talks about how fulfilling it is to see the ripple effect of their work.

“I think that’s what so great about giving back and meeting some of these people who have the same interest and goals,” said Stacy. “We are so fortunate to do what we love and not be in need, but to see the impact that we make and the relationships that we make – it’s a ripple effect. You surround yourself with likeminded people and then meet more of those people and you can do bigger and better things by the community and all the people you know.”

The inspiration behind the foundation came when Hoffman took over a Junior Golf tournament once supported by another professional golfer. After seeing how much of an impact they could make with that one event, they realized they could do so much more. They decided to use Hoffman’s platform on the PGA Tour to create something lasting for the communities they love.
Right from the start, they knew they wanted to help kids, especially through San Diego Junior Golf, which played a huge role in Hoffman’s own journey as a golfer. Since he didn’t grow up in a country club, Junior Golf was his chance to compete and get better. He wanted to give other kids the same opportunity.
Talking about the most special charity collaboration, she said, “We worked with a really awesome charity called Goodie Two Shoes. It was founded by former professional American football player Tony Berti and his wife, Nikki, modeled after something the NFL San Diego Chargers used to do. Essentially, they go to schools and they outfit kids with new shoes that fit them and they get to choose them, so giving them the power of choice. It sounds so simple but really is empowering for the kids and I loved it so much.”

Together, Hoffman and Stacy have raised two daughters, Claire JoAnn and Katelyn Elizabeth, and maintain homes in both Las Vegas and San Diego. They are trying to build charitable instincts in them too. “I always feel like I can do more. Do more charity work. Charley and I are really trying to give charitable responsibility to our kids. I’ve just started NCL [National Charity League] with my oldest daughter – it’s an organization that empowers young women by providing opportunities for mothers and their daughters to give back to their community through charitable work,” said Stacy.
It will be exciting to see the next milestone of this loving couple.
