A total of nine LIV pros will be on the field at the PGA Championship to be held at Valhalla. The defending champion Brooks Koepka, 2022 British Open winner Cameron Smith, 2-time major champion Jon Rahm, and many more. After showcasing a stellar game at Augusta, will Bryson DeChambeau be there too?

Last year at the PGA Championship, DeChambeau finished tied for fourth and only six strokes behind the winner, Brooks Koepka. Four years ago, in 2020, the 30-year-old triumphed on the West Course at the Winged Foot Golf Club and lifted his first major championship at the U.S. Open.

Thanks to his win and his stunning top-15 finish, DeChambeau will be at the 2024 PGA Championship. The golfer is allowed to participate in majors until 2025. The 1-time major winner may look forward to winning his second major, as he was on the rise to get it done at the 2024 Masters. However, things didn’t end as perfectly as he would have liked.

For the first 36 holes at Augusta, the 30-year-old was at the top of the leaderboard and was a favorite to win the green jacket. However, from moving day onwards, DeChambeau lost the lead but salvaged the chances as he hit a beautiful birdie on the 18th. Despite his arduous attempts, the fourth round couldn’t produce the green jacket, and DeChambeau had to suffice with T6 on the leaderboard.

At Valhalla, the 2-time LIV Golf winner would not want things to repeat as they did at the Masters and would want to topple his previous performances at the PGA Championship.

DeChambeau’s performance at the PGA Championships

In any of the four majors, Bryson DeChambeau’s best top-10 performance has been at the PGA Championship, except when he won the U.S. Open. In total, DeChambeau has won the PGA Championship six times in his career. Out of which, the 30-year-old finished T4 two times (2020 and 2023).

In the remaining editions, his performance was worse than expected. DeChambeau made his debut at Valhalla in 2018. He sadly missed the cut in 2018 and 2019. His worst performance was in 2021, when he finished at T38 with a score of 3 overs. So, DeChambeau has either played exceptionally well or has gone down the spiral at the season’s second major.

At the 2024 PGA Championship, the competition would be tougher than ever, and the Modesto native would not hope that things take a turn for the left at Valhalla! How do you think Bryson DeChambeau will perform?
