Koepka is among the top names in golf. His club game is on point. And that is why the PGA Tour suffered a great loss when Koepka chose to ditch them and move to LIV Golf last year. Although after much debate, it was decided that the LIV defectors will be allowed to play in the major PGA Tour events given that they qualified for them. And Koepka made a strike at this golden opportunity when he won the PGA Championship in May earlier this year and earned praises. But now fans are left wondering whether Koepka will be able to display his skills at the Liverpool Golf Club next week.
The answer is yes. The official page of the Open Championship has listed the names of the participants and Koepka is among them. He has earned his qualification under multiple categories.
Firstly winners of the last five US Opens are given a spot at The Open and Brooks has won the US Open twice in 2017 and 2018. His win from 2018 came to his aid here. After that winners of the last six PGA Championships are also given entry into the tournament. And once again Koepka has struck gold as he has claimed victory at the PGA Championship thrice in 2018 and 2019, and 2023.

Brooks has been trying to win at the event for a long time now. He first participated in the event in 2013 when he missed the cut after the second round.
