A 12-year-long hiatus from professional golf did not stop Anthony Kim from making a comeback, and neither did his injuries. But it was not as amusing as he once played golf. Kim’s form has dropped drastically from becoming the new Tiger Woods of that era, to now consistently finishing outside the top 50 in a league, where there are only 54 golfers. His best finish was T36 at the LIV Golf Greenbrier. But he is far from finished.
Despite the failures he has faced on the course, Kim looks forward to making it better and has been an active golfer on social media to show his progress and connect with his supporters. However, this as well, sometimes works against him as he receives tons of hate. Talking about the hate, Kim recently posted a story of a user telling him that they were happy for him and that his daughter, Bella, was cute. But the 39-year-old revealed that the person was actually not a well-wisher. Although the user looked like a fan, in reality, it was a hater.
Kim shared the screenshot of the text he received and posted on his Instagram story, saying, “This person has been insulting me publicly about my past & is entitled 2 their opinion but then privately messaged me.” Furthermore, the 3-time PGA Tour winner added that everyone wants to be tough behind closed doors but in public, they are little scared boys who can’t say the same hate they spewed to the golfer’s face. But he didn’t have any ill will against the user and told him, “I just wanna say Jonathan ur parents love u and u don’t have to impress ur friends by acting tuff.”

Although AK has been savage since he returned to the game of golf in February 2024, this time he took a much calmer path to handle the hate. At one point, Kim even dissed golf analyst Brandel Chamblee on his stance over LIV Golf. So it seemed that the user probably got the hint from AK that he was letting him go easily and that they should not hate comment again. But it became the reason for another unpleasant experience for AK.

Anthony Kim gets sarcastic with his social media hater
Unlike many professional golfers, Anthony Kim takes his time to reply to his fans and his haters alike. Just a few hours ago, Kim had thanked everyone who supported him as he played on LIV Golf and said, “I’m far from perfect but far from done trying” implying that he would be better in the 2025 season and that he was proud of how far he had come from going to rehab and thinking that he would never make out.
Life has changed for Kim and his family. But his haters have remained the same. The user, who at first complimented AK’s daughter and then was happy that Kim had moved on with his life, suddenly turned on the hater mode again. The story posted by the 39-year-old to each the user and everyone to not be a bully offended the user.

Quickly after seeing it, they texted Kim again, and this time told him that the LIV Golf pro should put it on his story. The user called the 3-time PGA Tour winner a “crazy co*ke head” and shared that he was saying just one nice thing, not trying to become AK’s fan. In response, to this the LIV Golf pro turned sarcastic and said, “I didn’t know we were playing 1nice thing Jonah.” And to rub more salt into the wound, Kim added, “I think she’s upset now.”
Anthony Kim will now be seen playing directly next year in 2025. There are chances that he may become part of a team, but until then, he would be entertaining his fans through drama on social media.
