Unlike the events of the PGA Tour, the senior circuit does not see any cuts made in its events. Hence the entire field of 78 will play battle in all three rounds to see who the ultimate winner is.

The likes of Steve Alker and Padraig Harrington will be on the field this week, undoubtedly looking for a win. But of course, that won’t be easy considering the likes of fan favorite, John Daly and David Toms will be competing for the top spot too.

Total prize money and the winner’s cut

The total purse for the Insperity Invitational stands at $2.7 million. While all the players who finish playing will receive a piece of this huge sum, the biggest of course goes to the victor. He will walk away with $405,000, which is in line with the standard 15% payout as per the PGA Tour Champion’s prize money distribution chart.

But the trophy and prize money are not all at stake this week. The players will also be showered with other perks, such as Charles Schwab Cup points. Every dollar earned converts to points for the players, and at the end of the season, the total points will determine qualification for the Charles Schwab Cup playoffs. The top 5 players in the final standings will receive part of a $2.1 million bonus pool.
