It has been a difficult year for Jack Nicklaus. Scrolling through his Twitter handle, you’ll see the many hard goodbyes he has had to make. Recently, it was his long-time friend John Madden who the golfer paid a tribute to; passed away on Tuesday.
John Madden was an American football coach and sportscaster. In his long association with the sport, he first served as the head coach for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL for ten long seasons. After retirement, he worked as a commentator and unsurprisingly, excelled in this field too. He won 16 sports Emmy awards and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
