Is Lexi Thompson's fitness venture a sign she's preparing to leave golf behind?

Many fans have been wondering when Lexi Thompson will return to the greens, and well we can’t blame them. The golfer’s last appearance in a tournament was last month when she competed in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Although Thompson did not score very well at 10 under par she still managed to snatch the T17th place and now that it has been almost a month, the fans are desperate to know when their favorite golfer is making a comeback.

After competing in the tournament last month, Thompson has been sidelined due to a nagging wrist injury.  But fans can breathe a sigh of relief – the six-time Solheim Cup veteran is expected to make her return at The ANNIKA Driven by Bainbridge at Pelican. And if all goes well, she’ll cap off her season at the championship finale before calling it quits for the year.

While the golfer was on the greens what was she doing in her time away? Well, we may have an idea.  In the recent post by the golfer, the fans got to see her smiling while sitting on a gym bench and shooting the content for her latest endeavor. “Content shooting for Lexi Fitness! Click the link in my bio to get started on your fitness journey with me 👊🏼👏🏼”, read the caption.

This was extra special for the golfer as she was only 19 years old when she achieved the feat. Thompson made history in Rancho Mirage, California by becoming the second-youngest LPGA golfer to win a major, and to celebrate that she joyfully leaped into Poppie’s Pond alongside her caddie, Benji Thompson in hopes of marking a memory in her amazing career. Many fans were also complimenting the golfer on her beauty and were calling the golfer, “beautiful” and “Gorgeous”.

And well, they’re not wrong. Thompson was declared as the Most Beautiful Woman in Golf 2016 and Golf.com even made a video about it on their YouTube channel. “It’s a huge honor to be known as one of golf’s most beautiful women. It means the world to me to be a role model to young kids, or even older people, that they come up to me and say that they look up to me”, the golfer had said in the video.

Last but not least, this fan pointed out the most obvious thing and said, “Looking fit and fab as usual”, and well the thanks goes to her amazing fitness techniques which now you can also access.  Thompson had shared her plans about the future which included the said Fitness App. “I want to be able to travel and play golf for fun, not have to worry about practicing every day and being on a strict schedule,” Thompson stated. She aims to leave the sport on her own terms, saying, “I don’t want to get to a point where I’m burnt out and hating the game. I want to leave the game loving it.” So are you a fitness freak?
