The PGA Tour has officially ended, and while there’s plenty ahead, it’s a good time to reflect on the drama of the season. From epic victories to disappointing missed putts, and debates over slow play, there’s no shortage of moments to remember. But as the season wraps up, one can only hope that any lingering disputes on the course are laid to rest, giving us a fresh start for what’s to come.

When it comes to drama, one moment from the Presidents Cup really got people talking—a brief but fiery moment between Tom Kim and Scottie Scheffler. A bit of tension erupted when Kim and his teammate Sungjae Im walked to the next tee before Scheffler and Russell Henley had even finished putting.

In a regular tour event, this wouldn’t be an issue, but in match play, especially with a putt tie on the line, it rubbed some people the wrong way. Some even called it disrespectful. The tension was quickly settled between the players, but the moment lingered, particularly among European fans, who already have a long history of rivalry with the U.S. team. But golf is full of stories of competition—and resolution.

And speaking of the resolution, Tiger Woods once again reminded us why he’s beloved by fans. In a simple yet powerful moment, Woods posed alongside Team International’s Sungjae Im at the Hero World Challenge, effortlessly turning the page on any lingering tension from the Presidents Cup.

When Sungjae Im posted the photo of himself with Woods, it didn’t take long for fans to flood the comments with excitement—and it’s easy to see why.  One fan summed it up simply: “All I see are two GOATs.” And, of course, the word “Legends” was thrown in for good measure—a fitting tribute to both the established greatness of Woods and the potential greatness of Im.

Woods’ presence alongside Im, especially at a time when the Presidents Cup drama still lingered, seemed to say: Let’s move forward.

Could Woods Return before the season finally wraps up?

It’s been a rough year for Tiger Woods fans. After missing the cut at The Open and sitting out the Hero World Challenge due to his back surgery, it feels like all we’ve been doing is waiting—waiting for those rumors of a comeback to finally be true. Sure, Woods showed up in Albany to host, but there was no swinging, no dramatic tee shots, just the familiar hope hanging in the air.

But fans aren’t giving up yet. There’s still the PNC Championship on the horizon, and that’s where everyone’s eyes are turning now. Remember last year? Woods teamed up with his son Charlie, and it wasn’t about winning—it was about sharing the game with his kid and giving fans that glimpse of Woods’ magic, even if it was just for a weekend.

Could he show up again this year? It’s not out of the question. The PNC is more relaxed, not the grind of a major, and if there’s any event where Woods might make a surprise appearance, it’s this one. Fans are clinging to that possibility because, well, when it comes to Woods, hope is never really off the table.
