Australian professional golfer, Jason Day, came out victorious in the 2015 PGA Championship. He attained the world’s number one ranking in the World Golf Ranking in September 2015. His last win was Wells Fargo Championship in 2018.
Jason Day has had a successful career, earning 12 victories on the PGA Tour. In the current season, he has competed in 14 events and achieved six Top 10 finishes, with 12 Top 25 finishes and only two missed cuts. Day is currently in Charlotte to participate in this year’s Wells Fargo Championship, and he has a health update to share, and how it has troubled him.

The Australian golfer recently confirmed that he is still battling Vertigo, and the main reason he pulled out of the designated PGA event, RBC Heritage was to undergo a few tests.

In the press conference at Quail Hollow Club, he revealed how tough the journey has been on him. The PGA Tour pro revealed that during the last round of the Masters, he had vertigo and it was extremely difficult to continue playing. He experienced high discomfort while sitting in the caddie hut at the Augusta during the final round.
Day shared that he has been very stressed this year as compared to the previous year, and believed that has further aggravated his Vertigo. “When you put yourself under stressful conditions all the time, sooner or later your immune system gets compromised.”
Commenting on how he took back the charge of his health, he said, “I wasn’t eating as healthy as I should have, so I made some changes to my diet. I just needed to take some time off, that was pretty much plain and simple.”

He also shared that in order to be better he also had to rework his outlook and ways towards golf. With his determination to get better, it’s only a matter of time before he reaches great heights in his career again.
Jason Day’s past experiences of struggles with Vertigo

The former world number 1 also revealed that he had experienced a brief episode of vertigo during his participation in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play tournament, in which he secured a T5 finish. Since his initial encounter with the condition at the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay, when he fainted during the second round, Day has been plagued by the condition.
Although he attributed it to allergies back then, he acknowledged on Wednesday that it was caused by his persistent struggle to implement swing adjustments and regain his former level of performance.
