The social media sensation recently spoke about her experience online She addressed the innate tendency of most people in the limelight to be liked. As humans, we all like being liked, don’t we?
Spiranac addressed just that. She talked about how seeking validation from people online is sometimes toxic to the creator.
Paige Spiranac said, “…I would say I am definitely a people pleaser and tend to seek attention. The hard part about what I do is that we seek so much validation from strangers because we need that to feel good about ourselves. And so I’ve been trying to separate that.”
The retired pro golfer continued, “And I think that it is actually holding me back from creating the content that I want to create because I have been a bit nervous about the public perception or the criticism that I’m going to get if it’s not a perfect video, or if I don’t look like every single angle is perfect, and my body doesn’t look perfect. I want to forget about that. Because I think that I don’t put out the best content that I possibly can because I’m so worried sometimes about what people are going to think.”
Truly the flipside of this coin is a tricky one. Content creators all over probably face this problem daily. When personalities like Paige Spiranac address such issues, it sure resonates with people around her.
Spiranac points out the hypocrisy in the golf course etiquette
Paige once pointed out how women are targeted for the same choices that men are given free passes for. This obviously hinders the development of a sportsperson who is a woman in comparison to their male counterparts.

Spiranac said, “… I don’t understand why it matters if you’re wearing a polo (shirt) and I’m not wearing a polo. If a guy on tour wears shorts instead of pants, the world’s not going to end. In golf, people make all of these problems so serious, and it’s not serious.”
Indeed, Paige’s contentions probably need to be given attention and maybe even rectification by those in control.
