Oops! Phil Mickelson, be careful
During the 2016 Memorial at Muirfield Village, Mickelson was teeing off on No. 15. He was looking for rough and found it the most unusual. He made a big swing, and the ball landed on the head of a marshal standing far away.
According to Steve DiMeglio of ‘USA TODAY Sports’, it was an unexpected incident, but Mickelson formed the bridge again. Mickelson explained everything to DiMeglio. The LIV Golf player hit the ball across the fairway, expecting people to gather, but that did not happen. As a result, Mickelson thought that the ball hit a cart, but unfortunately, it fell on the head of the volunteer.
And to Mickelson’s surprise, the volunteer was okay with it. He did not fall on the ground. The golfer compared him to the legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali. The volunteer laughed at the situation, and thankfully, nothing serious happened. The volunteer’s attitude impressed Mickelson, and he was aware of what took place.
Even though he sent the ball shooting across the fairway from right to left rough, no one knew it would have landed on someone’s head.
The volunteer kept smiling, and Mickelson immediately turned the table by apologizing to him. He took out his glove and wrote, “I’m so sorry.” To make it fun and adorable, he also made a sad emoji in O.
While handing the glove to the volunteer, he joked and said that if his head was softer, the shot might have stayed in the fairway.

And the tale goes on and on…
Mickelson’s reckless choice of words has been a news item. In February this year, he commented on Saudi-backed LIV golf and called it “scary mother f******” and “I sincerely regret.”
He understood his mistake, as his words hurt the sentiments of many. So he publicly apologized the next day for the wrong choice of words.
