Sergio Garcia is not a name unknown to anyone diligently keeping in touch with the ever-evolving world of golf. His shift to LIV Golf garnered a lot of attention. Ever since the golfer made his move to PGA Tour’s rival series, things have been changing at a fast pace for him. The golf world is evolving, and so is Garcia and his game.
Recently, it was revealed how much Garcia made for a T-20 finish. The money he won was compared to that of a famous golfer’s share of the money after making a big achievement on the PGA Tour. It showed the disparity between the PGA Money and LIV riches.

During one of the interviews conducted in Jeddah, he was asked if his knee injury has impacted him in the last week. He answered in the affirmative.
He said, “Well, it does. It does a little bit, I’m not going to lie. But you know, I’m playing through it. Obviously, I am struggling to hit draws. That’s when it hurts the most. Obviously, I’ve been hitting a lot of good shots. Like I said earlier, this is special. It’s different. If we weren’t playing the team format and everything, I probably would have taken a few weeks off and probably fixed whatever is wrong with my knee.”

He added, “I feel like I can still play even though it hurts a little bit and I can manage to play through it and try to help my teammates as much as possible.”
He displayed his instincts as a team player by stating the aforementioned. Sergio also did not step back on trying to appreciate LIV Golf for its team format
Garcia: yet another recipient of the LIV Golf riches?
Since its inception, the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league has been known for more than one reason. Money, on the other hand, remains one of the most important.
Following the evolution and change in the world of golf, the riches of LIV aren’t hidden from anyone. In order to join the league, LIV was known to make large offers to top players. A few months after its inception, it is now paying players like Garcia more money for a T-20 finish than the Tour pays players like Patrick Cantlay for finishing second at the Shriners Open.

Not only that, but many other players won a large sum of money during the LIV Golf event in Bangkok. Sergio Garcia received $924,286 for finishing second at the Shriners Open, while Patrick Cantlay received $712,000 for finishing second.
Even though Cantlay had far more success than Garcia, the pay both players received does not reflect this. LIV Money and its riches were not hidden from anyone; however, as time passes, the disparity becomes clearer.
