The Spanish pro golfer Sergio Garcia is undoubtedly one of the finest golfers that LIV Golf has. With the experience of golf on the European Tour, he arguably has so much to offer in the LIV Golf invitational series in Bangkok. But something fans did not know about the former PGA Tour member is his struggles. 

He is not happy with how things are turning up with his display of skills at the invitational series. The winner of 36 international tournaments recently shared his true feelings about his game during a press conference. But what is it that the 2008 Players Championship winner is doubting himself at a place where he enjoys the most?

Is Sergio Garcia trying too hard?

The 2017 master tournament winner, Sergio Garcia, is playing for the team FIREBALLS GC, in Bangkok, Thailand. This time, LIV Golf has chosen Asia for its two-week invitational series, after hosting four consecutive events in the USA.

Yesterday, after the second round of the series, Garcia attended a press conference along with Eugenio Chacarra at the newly built Stonehill Golf Club in Thailand. Talking about his visit, the interviewer asked Garcia about his love for Thailand, as he has already won Thailand Golf Championship in 2013. The LIV member said that he always enjoys coming back to familiar places and receiving support from the Thai people.

Talking about the prospects of his team winning, Garcia said, “Obviously I’m struggling a little bit with my left knee, but I’m giving it everything I have, trying to help my teammates.” He believes there are good chances of the team winning, although he wishes that he was in better physical form. As Garcia is struggling with his left knee, he feels that he is lagging behind. However, the Masters winner is trying his best to support his team in winning the series. According to Garcia, his team is already in great form and they just need one day more to win.

Can Fireball win the invitational series?

One of the 12 LIV Golf invitational series teams is Fireballs GC. It has the Spanish pro golfer lined up to claim the victory. The team has the Masters champion and Ryder Cup record points holder, Garcia as captain.

On Friday in Round 1 of the LIV invitational series in Stonehill club, things were good for the team. Garcia’s team is in a one-shot lead with 14 under. The end scores were Eugenio Chacarra 6, Sergio Garcia 68, and Abraham Ancer 69. The odds likely seem pretty good for the team. Fans will be eager to see who finishes on top.
