During a press conference, Justin Thomas was asked about his thoughts on top golfers switching over to the LIV Golf Tour. He revealed his disappointment towards the former PGA players, as many golfers have resigned from PGA Tour to join the Saudi-backed league.

The two-time Major Champion will be competing at the RBC Canadian Open. It is during the same period as the first LIV Golf event. During the event’s press conference, Thomas was asked about his opinion on the LIV Golf Tour.

What did Thomas say?

The 2022 PGA Championship winner did reveal his frustration regarding the LIV Tour by saying, “A lot of us are…, I don’t know if annoyed or tired is the right way. I mean, it’s just one of those things. I thought a lot about it and it’s like, look people are entitled to choose as they wish.”

He further said that he doesn’t dislike Dustin Johnson but is disappointed with his decision to join the nemesis of PGA by stating he is entitled to his choice and opinion. He said, “Everybody’s entitled to their own opinion, you know what I mean. It doesn’t, it doesn’t like I said it doesn’t make him a bad person.

He added, “Now I’m disappointed and I wish that he and others wouldn’t have done it but that’s their decision. I’ve said it all along it’s like, guys can do as they wish. If they wanna go, they can go. If they wanna stay, they can stay.”

Justin Thomas seemed neutral with his words but was quite disappointed with the former PGA players for their decision to join the Saudi-backed Golf Tour.

Apart from talking about other players who left PGA for LIV Tour, Thomas was clear with his intentions of continuing in the PGA Tour. He said, “Selfishly, I think and I know that the PGA Tour is the best place to play in the world.”

He also said, “I wish it wouldn’t be taking away great storylines and things that are going on a tour that’s been around for a very long time,” referring to the PGA Tour.
