Michelle Wie West finds humor in pregnancy journey amidst retirement

In July, LPGA star Michelle Wie West stepped away from professional golf, prioritizing her family, particularly her daughter Makenna, born in 2020. Although West has expressed a desire to continue playing, injuries have led her to this decision. 

In a recent Instagram update, the former LPGA star shared a reel by @officialmartinfam with her fans. In the video, a mother is seen complaining about her body and how it looks during pregnancy in a humorous manner, and her family is reacting to her outrageous response. 

The Women’s Champion, talking about her own experience with pregnancy and body image, posted the reel on her story with the caption: “I’m deadddd. Literally me all throughout my pregnancy.”

Wie West’s announcement of retirement hasn’t ruled out a return. As of now, permanent retirement is not certain, leaving the possibility open for her to return to the sport in the future. But till then, West has taken to a newer realm of the golf world.

Fans speculated a collab long before it actually happened. Venus Williams and Michelle Wie West have been acquaintances, and the two had been seen interacting via Instagram stories to match up for a pickleball game in the past.

Other than that, earlier this year, Alexis Ohanian interacted with West after seeing her matchplay and offered a spot, saying that he and his wife would love to have West on the team. Wie West had replied to that with an enthusiastic, “I got you.”

As fans speculated something was cooking, the news about West joining LAGC as an investor made it to the headlines, giving fans a full circle moment about their speculations.
