‘I’m Coming For You’: Paige Spiranac Reveals How Phil Mickelson Ghosted and Blocked Her on Social Media

According to a list released by a golf magazine in 2016, Phil Mickelson is one of the most approachable professional golfers. Yet, he chose to block Paige Spiranac on social media platforms. And the former professional golfer turned social media influencer still finds it as a puzzle! 

“I’ve been gaslit and have been ghosted. I don’t know what that was,” Spiranac stated about Lefty blocking her on social media platforms. “I’ve never said anything bad about Phil until now.” She further added, “You blocked me. I’m coming for you!” 

The former professional golfer described how she went from admiring the 6-time major winner to “anti-Phil” mode after the incident. Spiranac revealed how Mickelson met her and later blocked her on social media on The Bunkered podcast’s latest episode. 

Notably, Spiranac is known for openly sharing her opinion on golfers and other sports entities through her social media. Recently, she indirectly criticized Mickelson for joining the LIV Golf in the pretense of its progressive format and not for money. 

When did Phil Mickelson block Paige Spiranac? 

“So, this is the craziest story,” Spiranac explained how the 6-time major winner blocked her on social media. She also revealed that she still doesn’t know why he did it. 

According to Maxim‘s Sexiest Woman Alive, Mickelson had approached her first and appreciated her for her social media promotions. Spiranac also added that the two met again a year later during the Phoenix Open, yet they never developed a friendship between each other.

However, she got to know he blocked her on Twitter after she tried to congratulate him on his 2021 PGA Championship victory. “I’ve never said anything about Phil,” Spiranac added. “And so I was like, ‘I just don’t get this. It’s kind of upsetting.'”

Did Lefty accidentally block Spiranac, or was it intentional? 

“I don’t know what happened. It must have been a glitch in the system.” According to Spiranac, Lefty explained to her how he accidentally blocked her through a DM on Instagram. “Next day, blocked again.” She further added, “Not only that, he blocked me on Instagram too.” 

Paige Spiranac would have believed Mickelson had blocked her unintentionally if he hadn’t done the same again. According to Spiranac, she still doesn’t know why he blocked her, as they never had any kind of relationship. 

Many consider Phil Mickelson the friendliest PGA Tour golfer. However, Spiranac had a different experience with him and thus, doesn’t care what he does anymore.
